LOVELAND, CO – June 30, 2009 – Centerra announces SAFEbuilt, Inc. as the corporate champion of its 2009 Bike to Work Day Business Challenge. SAFEbuilt, Inc. had 22% of their employees’ bike to work on June 24, making it the Centerra business with the highest participation on Bike to Work Day.

Bike to Work Day participation grew from 2008 at the Centerra bike stations and at most of the ten businesses that participated in the challenge. Combined bike riders from ten Centerra businesses rode over 693 miles one way – saving 661 pounds of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

Seventy-one bikers visited the two breakfast stations located at Centerra, enjoying treats from Panera Bread and the Medical Center of the Rockies. As an added benefit to riders, Instapure donated water filtration “End of Faucet” systems at both stations.

SAFEbuilt, Inc. receives the traveling Bike to Work Champion trophy for 2009. The leading and national provider of building department services for public agencies earned the traveling trophy from last year’s champion, EMC.
