LOVELAND, CO – June 9, 2009 – Centerra and The Promenade Shops jointly present the 3rd annual Summer Blast at Centerra on Saturday, June 20. The family-friendly festival offers free kid’s activities, live music, and the region’s first fireworks show. Beginning at 11 a.m., the event is situated at the Main Plaza at The Promenade Shops at Centerra, located at Interstate 25 and Highway 34 in Loveland.
Tastings from your favorite restaurants, a beer garden and wine pavilion, local live music, kid’s corner, an arts and crafts sidewalk sale, and a spectacular fireworks show will provide a family-friendly experience that celebrates the best of summer at Centerra.
Live entertainment will begin at 11 a.m. and continues throughout the entire day. Musical appearances will include Teresa Lynne & Without Shame Band, Maxwell Hughes, The Corduroy, WhiteWater Ramble, The Osburn Brother’s, and Lost Canyon Band.
Festival goers will have the chance to select from up to nine different food vendors and get refreshed from the beer garden or wine pavilion. Tasting samples and drinks are festival-priced. Meal-sized portions and Pepsi-Cola products will also be available.
Visitors can also have the unique experience of enjoying a “living statue” at the Summer Blast. Adults and children alike will have the opportunity to encounter an authentic cowboy and a Colorado Rockies baseball player that will move and pose periodically throughout the event.
A kid’s corner will offer a variety of inflatable amusement rides for kids of all ages to enjoy. A mega-slide, obstacle course, tubs of fun, face painters, and balloon artists will provide families hours of opportunity to have fun together. Comcast will also be onsite with Guitar Hero.
A spectacular fireworks show will cap off the day at approximately 9:30 p.m. Festival goers are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets for firework-watching comfort.
General admission to the Summer Blast is free. Food samples, beverages, and some activities are festival priced.
