LOVELAND, CO – JULY 6, 2009 – To benefit Thompson Valley Preschool, Centerra presents the 2009 Loveland Classic on Saturday, July 18 at 7:00 a.m. In addition to being the third run in the Healthy Kids and Fit Teen Run Series, the Loveland Classic at Centerra also includes a 5K and 10K race option, which guarantees fun for the entire family.
Starting at Davidson-Gebhardt Chevrolet at the Motorplex, runners will enjoy traveling past several western Centerra landmarks such as the Rangeview Office Campus, Medical Center of the Rockies, the Marketplace at Centerra, and an abundance of natural and open spaces.
Awards will be distributed to the top three overall finishers (male and female), the top masters (male/female), top three finishers (male/female), and in the following age divisions (14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over).
Pre-registration is $20 and includes a t-shirt (Fit Teen participants receive $5 discount). Registration must be received by July 11th to guarantee a t-shirt on race day. Registration on race day is $25.
Registration sites include 3x Fast (391 N. Denver Ave.) in Loveland, Runners Roost (2720 Council Tree Ave.) and Foot of the Rockies (150 E. Harmony) in Fort Collins, and at Bells Running (3620 W. 10th St.) in Greeley. Registration can also be taken online at www.active.com. Race day registration is from 6:00 to 6:45 a.m. Runners will find ample parking in and around L2 Auto, in addition to a grassy field just adjacent to Davidson-Gebhardt Chevrolet, which is a short walk from the starting line. The Loveland Classic at Centerra will be a “zero waste” race.
The 2009 Loveland Classic at Centerra will benefit Thompson Valley Preschool, a non-profit organization that has been providing an affordable, quality early educational program for young children and their families for over thirty-five years. Thompson Valley Preschool serves the at-risk and lower income children and families in the community through the use of sliding scale tuition and scholarships.
